NeuroFocus is built on our own proprietary brain-computer interface (BCI) technology — a dry-EEG insert that reads the signal from your headset. Brain data is about the most personal data there is, so we’re setting our commitments down in writing now — while the product is still being built — and we’ll hold the shipping device to them.
Status: in development. The hardware and app aren’t shipping yet, so the data flows below describe how we are designing NeuroFocus, not a finished system. We’ll publish the final, device-specific details with launch and link them here.
01It only reads — it never stimulates
The insert is a passive sensor. It picks up the tiny voltages your brain already produces (EEG) through dry electrodes in the earcup. It does not send any current, signal, or stimulation into you. It listens; it never writes.
02Your raw signal stays on your device
The focus score is computed from your EEG on your own machine. Our design goal is that raw neural data is never uploaded to us by default — what can leave your device is the derived focus number (0–100), and only when you choose to use it, for example in a stream overlay. Your stream shows the score, not your brainwaves.
03We will never sell your neural data
We will not sell, rent, or trade your EEG data or anything derived from it. We won’t use it for advertising. Full stop — this isn’t a limited-time promise.
04Nothing leaves without clear consent
If a future feature ever needs to process neural data off your device (for example, opt-in research or cloud features), it will be off by default, explained in plain language, and require you to switch it on. You’ll be able to switch it back off just as easily.
05You own it — and can delete it
Any neural data associated with you is yours. You’ll be able to export it and to delete it, including anything that may be stored to make the product work. Deleting your account deletes your data.
06Not a medical device
The focus score is an engagement indicator for gaming and streaming, derived from an established EEG engagement index (beta against alpha + theta). It is not a diagnosis and not a medical measurement. NeuroFocus isn’t intended to detect, treat, or manage any health condition.
