This policy explains how NeuroFocus, an independent project by its founders, Inky and Elijah (“we”, “us”) handles the personal information you give us through this website. We keep it short and specific: we only collect what we need to run the waitlist and talk to you about NeuroFocus.
The short version. We collect the details you type into the waitlist form. We use them to email you about NeuroFocus and nothing else. We don’t sell your data, we don’t run ad-tracking cookies, and you can have your data deleted at any time by emailing info@neurofocus.dev.
01What we collect
Only what you actively give us:
- Waitlist signups — your name and email, plus an optional team/organization and message.
- Emails you send us — if you write to us directly, we keep the message and your address so we can reply.
- Basic server logs — like any website, our host records standard request data (IP address, browser type, timestamp) to keep the site secure and online.
- Aggregate analytics — Vercel Web Analytics records anonymous, cookieless page-view and visit counts. No personal profiles, no cross-site tracking.
We use Vercel Web Analytics — a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool — to count page views and visits in aggregate; it sets no cookies and never tracks you across other sites. We do not use advertising cookies, fingerprinting, or cross-site trackers, and we don’t run a “sale” of personal information.
02How we use it
- To add you to the waitlist and send you a confirmation.
- To email you about NeuroFocus availability, pilot access, and shipping.
- To answer questions you send us.
- To keep the site secure and working.
The legal basis for this, where it applies (e.g. UK/EU GDPR), is your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in operating the project. You can withdraw consent any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.
03Who processes your data
We don’t sell or rent your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site, and only so they can perform that job:
- Convex Database — stores your waitlist signup
- Resend Sends the waitlist confirmation + notification emails
- Whop Hosts preorder checkout and processes payments
- Vercel Hosts the site and provides privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics
Payments for preorders are handled entirely by Whop; we never see or store your full card details. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
04Brain (EEG) data
The NeuroFocus device measures EEG. This website does not collect any EEG or neural data — there is nothing to collect until the hardware ships. How the device itself handles neural signals is covered by our Neural Data Promise, which we’ll finalize alongside the product.
05How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details until you ask us to remove them or the waitlist is closed and no longer needed, whichever comes first. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request. Ask us to delete your data sooner and we will.
06Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or California’s CCPA/CPRA), you can ask us to:
- Tell you what data we hold about you, and get a copy.
- Correct anything that’s wrong.
- Delete your data.
- Stop emailing you — every email has an unsubscribe option.
To exercise any of these, email info@neurofocus.dev. We won’t charge you or treat you differently for asking.
07International transfers & security
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. We choose reputable providers that maintain appropriate safeguards. We protect your data with encryption in transit and access controls, though no method of transmission is ever 100% secure.
08Children
NeuroFocus isn’t directed at children. Don’t use the site or join the waitlist if you’re under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we’ll delete it.
09Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the “Effective” date above and, for material changes, tell waitlist members by email.
